Health & Safety – Some gaskets contain asbestos. Take the necessary precautions.
The clutch cover gasket is non reversible, note which side faces the crankcase and fit all others the same way. i.e. printed or shiny side etc. outermost. The cylinder head gasket has a small hole on its left-hand side to mark its orientation.
Tip – Use an old rocker cover gasket after the head gasket has been replaced, run the engine through at least one hot/cold cycle, re torque the head nuts and then use the new gasket.
